The Empire State Building in NYC lit up green in support of the Philadelphia Eagles after their NFC Championship win, securing their place in Super Bowl LVII. Some football fans were unhappy with the building showing support for a rival team, despite the Giants and Jets being local.
Critics took to social media to voice their objections.

How lame is the Empire State Building? Lighting up a NY building in the colors of a NFC East rival? What an absolute piece of shit building. Id be embarrassed to have it in my city. They should knock it down. https://t.co/WwjKpIkxN1

I'm here at The Empire State Building where an angry mob of New Yorkers has descended. They are demanding the building lighting be changed from green. And they want the person who tweeted to be fired. pic.twitter.com/U04U4LhJVv
