Before the AFC Championship, many Chiefs supporters expressed concerns about potential bias in Super Bowl officiating. However, during Sunday’s game against the Bengals, the NFL seemed impartial. In the second half, the Bengals were stunned when the Chiefs were granted a redo of a third-down play due to an official trying to stop it before the snap. The Chiefs eventually got the first down from a penalty.
Although the series didn’t impact the outcome as the Chiefs punted, it reflected a pattern of odd calls favoring Kansas City in the second half.

As a result of the officiating during the enirety of the game, “NFL Rigged” trended as fans reacted to questionable officiating in the fourth quarter of the AFC Championship Game between Cincinnati and Kansas City. The league office is likely to face criticism.
